This Project was based on the automation of the area of conveyor belts for sugarcane bagasse, co-generation and COI, with the use of a CLP S7-400 with Indusoft supervisory.

CONVEYOR BELT SECTOR

The conveyor belt sector has some 27 belts and 12 bagasse deviator cars. DLG was responsible for the field infrastructure for the interconnection of emergency sensors, misalignment and speed of 23 conveyors, besides the infrastructure of course end sensors and pneumatic pistons of 10 bagasse deviators. We designed and assembled the main panel (with redundant CLP S7-414H, three remotes IO and one Y-link) and two panels with one redundant IO, for the silo CCM and the SUB AT CCM.

The communication between these two CCM remotes with the main panel was through a Profibus DP network using optical fiber as physical means.

The sector start-up was made by one person during 30 days and all programming of the controller included the several interlocks required by the client.

All field signals related to the emergency switch, misalignment, speed and deviator cars were interlinked to the main panel, while the motors command were via the remotes installed in the CCM (old part) or via Profibus network (new part).

CO-GENERATION SECTOR

The sector has several control loops in multiple co-generation areas, like steam reducers, cooling towers, air compressors and ashes.

DLG designed and assembled a panel with redundant CLP S7-414H , three DP/PA remotes and five Y-Links, responsible for Profibus DP communication, in redundancy with the intelligent CCMs supplied by the client.

DLG programmed the controller and made its integration with all field devices and CCM and the startup was made by one person during 30 days.

COI (CENTER OF INTEGRATED OPERATIONS)

DLG designed and assembled a panel with Rack 19 format redundant servers and switches were installed. DLG assisted the company responsible for the fusion of the optical fibers of the two rings that interconnect the sector listed below.

The COI job consisted in programming the Indusoft Supervisory with redundant servers and four operational stations with two monitors each.

The programming integrated several plant sectors such as Boilers, Conveyor Belts, Co-generation, ETA  Desmi, ETALG, Electric System, Turbine and Generator.

To this effect DLG worked in cooperation with various companies integrating the sectors programming the controllers were not DLG´s responsibility.
